When to go on your Canary Islands holiday
Travel Advice (Published: 16 November 2009)
Many people are unsure about how hot, warm or cold the Canary Islands are, in particular, how suitable they are as a winter holiday destination. Well, the good news is that they are ideal for holidays all year round although you may wish to choose your holiday month depending on how hot you like it! The winter months between November and March average in the low seventy degree farenheit (low twenty degree centigrade), with a peak through the summer months to the high eighties (with many days over ninety degrees). It is rainiest in December, although the average rainfall for this month is still less than an inch and is often welcome to "freshen" things up a little. There are some differences between the islands, for example, Lanzarote tends to be a little drier, while Fuerteventura is famous for being windy, particularly on it's windsurfing beaches.
