Lanzarote Villa (Casa Azucar) in Playa Blanca for Lanzarote holidays in Canary Islands

This very modern, single storey and superior villa is set in a good-sized garden. Furnished to a high standard, it offers good quality accommodation for a memorable villa holiday.

This spacious, detached villa has been decorated using light, modern furnishings and is bright and spacious throughout. The living room has been stylishly decorated, with leather sofas, a plasma TV, a dining area and several patio doors leading to the swimming pool. There is a very well-equipped, modern kitchen with all the facilities for a self catering holiday and a separate utility room. The villa has three attractive bedrooms, with patio doors to the garden and pool. The master bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom. There is a bedroom with twin beds and access to a separate shower room and a further bedroom with a double bed and an en-suite shower room. This is located at the other end of the villa and is reached through the kitchen.

The villa is set in a large, walled garden with a sunbathing terrace surrounding the 8 x 4 metre, electrically heated swimming pool. This is accessed by integral steps and has a poolside shower. Outside the living room there is a covered terrace, which provides welcome shade in the warm, Playa Blanca sunshine. Al fresco dining furniture can be placed there or on the open terrace and together with sun beds and the glistening pool, provide an idyllic venue for hours of relaxation.

It is located on a residential development less than 3km from the centre of Playa Blanca and 2km to the nearest beach at Playa Flamingo. A short drive takes you to the fabulous, unspoilt beaches of Papagayo or to the old harbour area, with a large choice of marine excursions.

For guests staying longer than 7 nights there is a weekly maid service.

Playa Blanca, Lanzarote

The villa is conveniently located a few minutes drive outside of the centre of the resort. The nearest supermarket is a 5 minute walk or a two minute drive and there is a good selection of restaurants and bars within a five minute drive, as well as the beautiful, golden, Playa Flamingo beach. The recently opened, sophisticated Puerto Rubicon Marina is a ten minute drive from the villa and is the location of many exclusive boutiques, bars and restaurants.

Several excursions, including a catamaran trip, depart from the Marina. The pretty harbour of Playa Blanca is also the departure point for many excursions including trips to the neighbouring islands of Fuerteventura and Los Lobos. A water taxi is also available to take people to Papagayo beaches. In recent years Playa Blanca has grown from a traditional Canarian fishing village into a fashionable tourist resort and has retained a great deal of its original character. A pretty promenade runs along the seafront and is lined with bars, restaurants and shops. The amazing Papagayo beaches are only a 15 minute drive away and are famous throughout Spain for their unspoilt location, golden sands and aquamarine, clear waters. The unspoilt Canarian villages of Las Brenas, El Golfo and Femes are only a short drive away, as is the volcanic national park of Timanfaya.

How To Get There

You can fly directly to Arrecife airport on Lanzarote from a large number of domestic airports on a daily basis. The flight time is approximately 3-4 hours depending on where you are flying from. There are flights with low cost carriers (Easyjet) and charters such as Monarch and First Choice.

Lanzarote is a compact island to travel around with a high quality road network. To make the most of your holiday on Lanzarote and to give you the best possible chance to visit the all the places worth seeing on the island we strongly recommend that you consider hiring a car.
