Lanzarote Villa (Casa Maricela) in Playa Blanca for Lanzarote holidays in Canary Islands

This charming, two-bedroom villa is located on a sought after, residential development, within a twenty-minute walk to the excellent amenities and beaches of Playa Blanca.

A few minutes drive takes you to the famous, unspoilt Papagayo beaches or to the harbour area, where there is a selection of marine and fishing excursions. The hourly ferry to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura leaves from here and provides an excellent days outing. Casa Maricela is set in walled grounds, with a pretty garden and offers stylish accommodation for a relaxing and memorable holiday. For larger groups and families Villas Seraphena, Mariposa, Benita, Teresita and Amandelen are nearby.

This very attractive villa has been decorated to a high standard and is light and airy throughout. The living room has a high, pitched ceiling, comfortable seating and patio doors leading to a covered terrace. An opening leads to the dining room, with seating for four, a wooden beamed ceiling and patio doors to the swimming pool. The modern and fully fitted kitchen has everything necessary for a self-catering holiday. Casa Maricela has two bedrooms. One has a double bed, the other has twin beds and they share a full, good quality bathroom. An added child can be accommodated on the sofa bed in the dining room.

The covered terrace outside the living room provides welcome shade, for al fresco dining and overlooks the swimming pool. It is electrically heated, measures 6x4 metres and is entered by roman steps. The property has gated, off road parking and a small, colourful garden.

For guests staying longer than seven nights, there is a weekly maid service.

Playa Blanca, Lanzarote

Casa Maricela is located on a prestigious development of new, luxury villas on the outskirts of Playa Blanca town centre. The resort centre is approximately a fifteen minute walk or two minute drive from the villa and the nearest beach, Playa Flamingo, is about the same distance and is extremely popular with families due to its shallow, calm nature. There is a local supermarket just a five minute walk from the villa. In recent years Playa Blanca has grown from a traditional Canarian fishing village into a fashionable tourist resort and has retained a great deal of its original character. A pretty promenade runs along the seafront and is lined with bars, restaurants and shops. The amazing Papagayo beaches are only a 10 minute drive away and are famous throughout Spain for their unspoilt location, golden sands and aquamarine, clear waters. The unspoilt Canarian villages of Las Brenas, El Golfo and Femes are only a short drive away, as is the volcanic national park of Timanfaya. The pretty harbour of Playa Blanca is the departure point for many excursions including trips to the neighbouring islands of Fuerteventura and Los Lobos. A water taxi is also available to take people to Papagayo beaches. The recently opened, Puerto Rubicon Marina is a ten minute drive from the villa and is the location of many exclusive boutiques, bars and restaurants. Several excursions, including a catamaran trip depart from the Marina.

How To Get There

You can fly directly to Arrecife airport on Lanzarote from a large number of domestic airports on a daily basis. The flight time is approximately 3-4 hours depending on where you are flying from. There are flights with low cost carriers (Easyjet) and charters such as Monarch and First Choice.

Lanzarote is a compact island to travel around with a high quality road network. To make the most of your holiday on Lanzarote and to give you the best possible chance to visit the all the places worth seeing on the island we strongly recommend that you consider hiring a car.
