Villa Mariposa is ideally located in the popular resort of Playa Blanca and is only a ten minute walk to the lovely Playa Flamingo beach. Restaurants, bars and shops are within walking distance and a fifteen minute drive takes you to the magnificent, unspoilt Papagayo beaches. For larger groups and families Villa Seraphena is next door and Villas Benita, Teresita, Maricela and Amandelen are nearby.
This detached, single storey villa has been furnished and decorated in a contemporary, Spanish style with extensive use of stylish, vibrant artwork. The reception area is open plan with large picture windows and a high vaulted ceiling adding to the feeling of light and space. The living area is furnished with colourful, leather sofas and leads to the modern kitchen. There is a formal dining area which has a large, country style dining suite and French windows leading to the pool and sunbathing terrace. The four bedrooms all lead off the stunning, internal, open air Canarian garden. The master bedroom has a king size bed, built in wardrobes and French windows leading to the alfresco dining area. The immense ensuite bathroom is truly luxurious with a large walk in shower and a two-person jacuzzi bath. There are three further twin bedrooms which are decorated to a very high standard. The villa has two additional shower rooms, one of which has a very large, double, Canarian style walk-in shower and twin basins. The villa has the added benefit of an internet connection point for guests bringing a laptop computer.
The outside area of the villa is perfect for enjoying long, warm Playa Blanca days and evenings. A large sunbathing terrace surrounds the 6 x 3 metre private, heated swimming pool which is accessed via Roman steps and a fabulous, eight seater Jacuzzi Spa, with adjustable jets, provides the ultimate relaxation. There is a large patio dining table and a barbecue for clients who wish to enjoy alfresco dining whilst soaking up the sea views over to Fuerteventura. Ample sunbeds are provided for making the most of the fantastic Lanzarote climate. The villa also has gated, off road parking.
For guests staying longer than seven nights, there is a weekly maid service. There is also a mid week towel change.
This lovely villa is located on a prestigious development of new, luxury villas on the outskirts of Playa Blanca town centre. The resort centre is approximately a fifteen minute walk or two minute drive from the villa and the nearest beach, Playa Flamingo, is about the same distance and is extremely popular with families due to its shallow, calm nature. There is a local supermarket just a five minute walk from the villa. In recent years Playa Blanca has grown from a traditional Canarian fishing village into a fashionable tourist resort and has retained a great deal of its original character. A pretty promenade runs along the seafront and is lined with bars, restaurants and shops. The amazing Papagayo beaches are only a 10 minute drive away and are famous throughout Spain for their unspoilt location, golden sands and aquamarine, clear waters. The unspoilt Canarian villages of Las Brenas, El Golfo and Femes are only a short drive away, as is the volcanic national park of Timanfya. The pretty harbour of Playa Blanca is the departure point for many excursions including trips to the neighbouring islands of Fuerteventura and Los Lobos. A water taxi is also available to take people to Papagayo beaches. The recently opened, Puerto Rubicon Marina is a ten minute drive from the villa and is the location of many exclusive boutiques, bars and restaurants. Several excursions, including a catamaran trip depart from the Marina. Playa Blanca is approximately a 40 minute transfer from the airport.
You can fly directly to Arrecife airport on Lanzarote from a large number of domestic airports on a daily basis. The flight time is approximately 3-4 hours depending on where you are flying from. There are flights with low cost carriers (Easyjet) and charters such as Monarch and First Choice.
Lanzarote is a compact island to travel around with a high quality road network. To make the most of your holiday on Lanzarote and to give you the best possible chance to visit the all the places worth seeing on the island we strongly recommend that you consider hiring a car.
