Villa Timanfaya is contemporary and luxurious throughout. The living room is stylishly decorated, has a formal dining area and patio doors which provide panoramic sea views. The separate kitchen has modern appliances and a door leading to a small terrace with barbecue. Villa Timanfaya has four tastefully decorated bedrooms, two shower rooms and a cloakroom. The master suite has a double bed, en-suite shower room and its own private balcony, which overlooks the swimming pool and again offers superb sea views. Stairs from this bedroom lead down to a large dressing room with built in wardrobes and full length mirrors. There are two further bedrooms with double beds, one of which has an en-suite shower room. The fourth bedroom has a few steps leading down to a floor with twin beds and a sofa, also in this room is a mezzanine style floor, with a double sofa bed.
Patio doors from the living room lead to a covered terrace with steps leading down to the impressive 10 x 5 metre, electrically heated swimming pool, which is entered via roman steps. The sunbathing terrace has good quality sun loungers, a feature mosaic outdoor shower and it is surrounded by high walls, offering a high level of privacy. There is a patio dining area at the side of the terrace, close to the barbecue area, perfect for al fresco dining in the warm climate. The terrace is romantically lit at night and the location of the villa offers the chance to see a beautiful sunset.
For guests staying longer than 7 nights there is a weekly maid service and a mid weekly towel change. A refundable security deposit of £250 or 250€ in cash is required to be paid to the local manager/owners upon arrival.
The villa is located in Playa Blanca within a ten minute walk of the beautiful, sheltered and sandy Playa Flamingo beach. It slopes gently out to sea and is ideal for young children. It is only a five minute walk to the beautiful Timanfaya Hotel which is a beautiful setting for enjoying a drink or a meal. The Natura Palace hotel is also only a five minute walk away where guests can enjoy the fabulous Thalasso spa. Playa Blanca centre is approximately a ten minute walk or two minute drive from the villa and the nearest beach. In recent years Playa Blanca has grown from a traditional Canarian fishing village into a fashionable tourist resort and has retained a great deal of its original character. A pretty promenade runs along the seafront and is lined with bars, restaurants and shops. The amazing Papagayo beaches are only a 10 minute drive away and are famous throughout Spain for their unspoilt location, golden sands and aquamarine, clear waters. The unspoilt Canarian villages of Las Brenas, El Golfo and Femes are only a short drive away, as is the volcanic national park of Timanfya. The recently opened, sophisticated Puerto Rubicon Marina is a short drive from the villa and is the location of many exclusive boutiques, bars and restaurants. Several excursions, including a catamaran trip, depart from the Marina. The pretty harbour of Playa Blanca is the departure point for many excursions including trips to the neighbouring islands of Fuerteventura and Los Lobos. A water taxi is also available to take people to Papagayo beaches. Playa Blanca is approximately a 40 minute transfer from the airport.
You can fly directly to Arrecife airport on Lanzarote from a large number of domestic airports on a daily basis. The flight time is approximately 3-4 hours depending on where you are flying from. There are flights with low cost carriers (Easyjet) and charters such as Monarch and First Choice.
Lanzarote is a compact island to travel around with a high quality road network. To make the most of your holiday on Lanzarote and to give you the best possible chance to visit the all the places worth seeing on the island we strongly recommend that you consider hiring a car.
